The single-family homes on Wilson Street were the beginning of the Lexington Housing Authority’s plan for 194-units scattered-site units earmarked for self-sufficiency families. In the summer of 1993 the Housing Authority unveiled these units to the community at the first “Housing Extravaganza” (parade of homes). This site is conducive to comfortable, urban living and conveniently located to the many downtown festivals and parades that occur throughout the year. One, two and three bedroom units comprise this site.

The nine triplex units at Trent Boulevard located in south Lexington just off Man O’ War Boulevard are designed with driveways, individual storage spaces, and front yards that offer residents an opportunity to try their hand at gardening and landscaping. This site of 3 bedroom units includes one accessible unit.

Continuing with the effort to offer housing at smaller scattered sites around Lexington and Fayette County, the duplexes at Rosemary Avenue were completed during the summer of 1997. Attractive homes such as the ones on Rosemary are helping to change the image of public housing. This 26-unit site has three bedroom units available.

The Heartsbrook Lane site offers 34 single-family houses in a quiet suburban neighborhood west of downtown Lexington. The Heartsbrook neighborhood offers families private driveways, patios and expansive yard space. Interior amenities include air-conditioning, carpeting and open-air floor plans that combine the living and dining areas. In addition, architectural enhancements such as interior columns add to the attractiveness of these homes. Accessible units are available at this site.

These single-family homes completed in 1998 are part of a $7.4 million 100-unit construction project. A variety of floor plans and color schemes are available at this site. Contemporary wall-colors, contrasting counter tops and modern pickled-oak cabinetry make these homes indistinguishable from open-market housing. These three bedroom homes are furnished with carpet, central air and the convenience of two bathrooms. Catera Trace is located only a few blocks from one of Lexington’s major shopping and commercial districts on Richmond Road.

This site is comprised of duplex and triplex units. Located in south Lexington, this site is close to a major shopping and business complex at Tates Creek Center and less than two miles from Fayette Mall. Two and three bedroom units are available at this location.

Allante Brook Court built in 1994 is located in a tranquil setting in suburban Lexington with a bubbling creek running along side.
