Self Sufficiency

Self-sufficiency units are scattered throughout Lexington in small communities and are either duplex or single-family dwellings. In addition to the general requirements for all programs, this program requires that the head-of-household or spouse work at least 37.5 hours a week (Self-Sufficiency I) or 20 hours (Self-Sufficiency II). A single head-of-household, enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college, university or vocational school, is also eligible.
