Inspector – Public Housing
Perform inspections of public housing units/dwellings for compliance with National Standards for Physical Inspections of Real Estate (NSPIRE) inspection standards. The Public Housing Inspector conducts regular inspections of residential properties to assess their condition, identify necessary repairs, and ensure compliance with established safety and inspection standards.
Performs thorough inspections of public housing units before, during, and after occupancy for compliance with NSPIRE inspection standards, to access their condition and identify maintenance needs.
Performs annual inspections of all public housing stock.
Performs special inspections such as inspections due to property complaints, relocations, and property damages.
Ensure that housing units adhere to local, state and federal housing quality standards, including safety regulations and building codes.
Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and communicate necessary repairs to or improvements to property management.
Maintain confidentiality and interact tactfully with residents, handling personal and financial information with discretion.
The salary range starts at $45,200.00/yr. or $21.73/hr. with an excellent benefits package, including paid health, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as retirement savings opportunities.
The candidate hired will receive a bonus of $750.00 upon completion of six months’ employment, with an additional $750.00 to be paid after one full year of employment.
Human Resources Director
The Lexington Housing Authority (LHA) is seeking a strategic and experienced Human Resources Director to lead and manage all human resources functions for the organization. This senior-level position plays a critical role in supporting LHA’s mission by ensuring effective workforce planning, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and the development of a high-performing, engaged, and diverse workforce.
The Human Resources Director reports to the Executive Director and serves as a key member of the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, training, and organizational development.
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, HUD regulations, and applicable labor agreements.
Lead recruitment and retention initiatives to attract and retain qualified talent in support of organizational goals.
Advise executive leadership and management on employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
Oversee benefits administration, classification and compensation systems, and HRIS processes.
Develop and implement training and professional development programs to enhance employee performance and leadership capacity.
Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.
Serve as the primary liaison with legal counsel, auditors, and regulatory agencies on HR-related matters.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. Professional certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR, preferred.
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including management or supervisory responsibility.
Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and public-sector or quasi-governmental HR operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range starts at $75,400.00 with a comprehensive benefits package, including paid health, dental, vision and life insurance, pension and retirement savings opportunities and paid time off.
