The Lexington Housing Authority (LHA) will accept applications at the Northeast Lexington Public Housing sites, starting 12:00 a.m., Sunday, June 21 through 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026:

Properties Include: Atiya Place, 12th Street, Constitution, Catera Trace, Sixth Street locations, Shropshire Avenue and Wilson Street
All Northeast Lexington Properties are Self-Sufficiency sites and require the head or co-head of household to demonstrate he/she is working the specified required hours for that site.
The work requirement is demonstrated by verified employment at eligibility certification or signing of lease.
In addition to the requirements for all General Public Housing programs, the Self-Sufficiency program requires that the head-of-household or spouse/co-head-of-household must demonstrate he/she has been working for at least 37.5 hours per week for Self-Sufficiency I, or 20 hours per week for Self Sufficiency II. Elderly and disabled persons who meet all of the Self-Sufficiency Housing requirements with the exception of the work requirement may also be eligible for these units.

Bedroom Size
At the time of application, the applicant will designate within the parameters outlined below, their bedroom size choice. The applicant family will be placed on the waiting list for the selected bedroom size. The following guidelines will determine each family’s unit size without overcrowding or over-housing:
In determining bedroom size, LHA will include the presence of children to be born to a pregnant woman, children who are in the process of being adopted, children whose custody is being obtained, children currently under a 50% or more joint custody decree, children who are temporarily away at school, or children who are temporarily in foster care.
